This event is co-hosted by the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI) and Columbia Climate School and builds on the foundation set by the COP 101 Workshop. It aims to deepen students’ understanding of critical topics in climate finance, focusing on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) and insights post-COP. The event will feature presentations and discussions led by esteemed Columbia University faculty members, providing a platform for engaging with leading experts and anchoring critical conversations around finance, policy, and climate action.
Speakers:
Jeffrey D. Sachs – University Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, renowned economist and leading voice in sustainable development and climate policy.
Lisa Sachs – Director of the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), specializing in sustainable and responsible investment.
Jeffrey Shaman – Interim Dean of the Columbia Climate School and Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health, an expert in climate and health sciences.
Gernot Wagner – Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Economics at Columbia Business School, a leading climate economist focusing on market-based solutions to climate change.
Lisa Dale – Director of the MA in Climate and Society program at the Columbia Climate School, an expert in adaptation policy, rural land management, and climate resilience.
