Catalyzing Climate and Nature Solutions: The Role of Public, Private Philanthropic and Academic Collaborations in Blended Finance
Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 9:00-11:00 a.m.
The Forum @ Columbia University
Convened by Giving to Amplify Earth Action (GAEA) and the World Economic Forum (WEF)

As global temperatures edge closer to surpassing the critical 1.5 degrees Celsius mark and efforts to achieve net zero emissions globally are falling drastically short, the urgency to invest in climate and nature has never been more pressing. This session convenes key stakeholders across public, private, philanthropic sectors and the academic world to explore the transformative potential of blended finance that can drive impactful solutions. Together, we will:

  • Tackle the Climate Funding Gap: Engage with leading experts to discuss gaps in research, knowledge, data, or skills needed for effective climate finance.
  • Learn from Success Stories: Unpack real-world cases of blended finance in action, addressing challenges and successes from multiple perspectives.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Participate in brainstorming sessions that integrate academia into blended capital solutions for climate, ensuring robust data, evaluation, and future scalability.

Invitation only.
