Illuminate USA, a joint venture between Invenergy and LONGi, is positioned to be one of the largest solar panel manufacturing facilities in the United States. The market has historically been dominated by Chinese manufacturing. The U.S. Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 was passed to incentivize domestic manufacturing. In this case, students will discuss the role of federal policy to Illuminate USA’s strategy and long-term growth model, as well as the impact of policy uncertainty and other technological considerations.
