From Ambition to Climate Action: Strengthening Trust, Transparency and Accountability Through Data
3:30-5:00 p.m.
Organized by UNIVER/CITY 2030 of Concordia University

(400 seats)
With more businesses, institutions and municipalities announcing climate commitments and action plans, transparency and accountability have become essential to monitoring their credibility and fighting greenwashing. This cannot occur without access to reliable data. And to be truly useful and impactful, this monitoring and evaluation data must be accompanied by tools (e.g. dashboards and portals) and inclusive community engagement practices.

Organized by Data Studio, part of Concordia University’s UNIVER/CITY 2030 initiative, this panel discussion will review data gaps and the incentives and disincentives to data disclosure. It will also highlight opportunities for collaborative intersectoral data sharing to help implement the Climate Plan 2020-2030.
